Manager - Manufacturing Engineering

Job descriptionIdentification and support deployment of I4.0 initiatives Support deployment of Plant NPI / STP / VAVE / cost-out / automation projects Optimizing material handling, flow and layout Support plants with PFMEA, design error-proofing methods, improve manufacturing capability Ad hoc projects based on need Bachelors in manufacturing, industrial, mechanical or electrical engineering 12+ years of industry experience, preferably in electrical / industrial / automotive products manufacturing industry. Exposure in working with global cross functional team and experience in managing stakeholder relationships. Expertise in manufacturing processes, industrial engineering, manufacturing systems and tools. Strong problem-solving skills, Six sigma Ability to identify opportunities for process optimization and implement cost effective solutions Familiar with PFMEA / DFM standards or methods Experience in NPI / STP / VAVE project management Experience in TPM / Lean / Six Sigma tools International working experience at global factories and Greenfield / Brownfield project experience will be added advantage' Drive for results - can be counted on to exceed goals successfully Passionate, proactive and self-motivated Team player, ability to get things done through teams effectively Willingness to learn & coach Decision quality - makes good decisions based upon a mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Position requires 25% travel ( both domestic & International )
What You'll Do
Eaton India Manufacturing Operations Center of Excellence,is looking for Manager - Manufacturing Engineering to work across the enterprise supporting manufacturing plants. This position is based at our office in Infinity Park, Baner, Pune.
The incumbent will work with manufacturing sites to design and execute plant manufacturing engineering strategy, continuously improve manufacturing technology including but not limited to Industry 4.0 / automation / AI / digitalization, to improve product quality, productivity, reduce costs, and deploy continuous improvement culture and tools to support plant strategic goals.
- Support implementation of Operating for Growth strategy by working with focus sites;
- To execute Obsessed with Basics program to improve Hi 5 performance to World Class level
- Support OpA maturity roadmap
- Deploy continuous improvement culture and tools to improve Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery &
