Software Tester - ETL / Datawarehouse Testing

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform end-to-end testing of data pipelines, ETL jobs, and data migration activities across legacy and modern data platforms.
• Validate data ingestion, data transformation, and data integrity across Data Warehouse (DWH) and Data Lake environments.
• Develop and execute both manual and automated test cases to ensure functional and non-functional requirements are met.
• Collaborate with data engineers, developers, and business stakeholders to understand data flow, mappings, and transformation logic.
• Write complex SQL queries to validate large datasets across multiple sources and targets.
• Use tools and frameworks for automation testing of ETL and data-related workflows.
• Ensure high-quality test coverage and documentation for all assigned projects.
• Participate in Agile / Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, and defect triaging.
• Provide regular reports on test execution, defect status, and QA Skills & Qualifications :
• 6+ years of total IT experience, with a strong focus on data testing.
• Proven experience in Data Migration projects and Data Lake validation.
• Solid hands-on experience in ETL / DWH testing including data reconciliation, validation, and lineage tracking.
• Strong understanding of AWS services (e.g., S3, Redshift, Glue) and / or Snowflake.
• Proficient in SQL for data validation and test automation scripting.
• Experience in both Manual Testing and Automation Testing in data environments.
• Knowledge of automation frameworks and scripting languages used for ETL validation is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced to Have :
• Experience with tools like Apache Airflow, DBT, Informatica, Talend, or SSIS.
• Familiarity with data governance, data profiling, and data quality tools.
• ISTQB or similar QA certifications.
