Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced and meticulous ETL & Big Data Tester with 6 to 9 years of dedicated experience to join our Quality Assurance team. You will be instrumental in validating complex data workflows and ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and quality of large-scale data processing pipelines. The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on experience with various ETL tools, advanced SQL scripting, and modern big data platforms, with a keen eye for detail to test and troubleshoot issues across the entire data lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities :

• Test Strategy & Design : Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases and test plans specifically for ETL workflows, complex data transformation processes, and critical data migration initiatives.
• Data Integrity & Quality Assurance : Validate data integrity and data quality across diverse data environments, including traditional data warehouses and modern big data systems. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, completeness, and conformity to business rules.
• Data Flow Understanding : Collaborate closely with development teams, data engineers, and business analysts to gain a deep understanding of data flow architecture, source-to-target mappings, and intricate business logic driving data transformations.
• Automation & Scripting : Develop and maintain automated data validation scripts using SQL and other relevant scripting languages to enhance testing efficiency and repeatability.
• Documentation & Reporting : Create and maintain thorough testing documentation, including test cases, test results, and defect reports. Provide clear and concise reports on data quality metrics and testing progress to stakeholders.
• Root Cause Analysis : Perform in-depth root cause analysis of identified data discrepancies, data processing failures, and data quality issues, and recommend effective solutions to development and data engineering teams.
• Performance Testing (Data) : Assist in performance testing of data pipelines to identify bottlenecks in ETL processes and optimize data loading and transformation speeds.
• Cross-Platform Validation : Ensure data consistency and accuracy when data moves between various platforms such as data lakes, data warehouses, and reporting layers.
