Client Accounting Services Manager (8-12 yrs)
- As a Manager, you will independently oversee end-to-end bookkeeping, month-end close processes, and financial reporting for a diverse portfolio of clients, without requiring supervision from a Senior Manager.
- You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of financial data while proactively identifying opportunities to improve processes and deliver insights that support strategic business decisions. In this role, you will also serve as a key leader within the team by mentoring Staff and Senior Associates, guiding them through complex accounting challenges from issue identification to solution implementation.
- Your ability to think critically, manage competing priorities, and drive process improvements will be vital in delivering high-quality results for both clients and the firm.
Key Manage US Accounting processes with a primary focus on Report to Report (R2R) and General Ledger (GL) Accounting.
Demonstrate proficiency in QBO, QBD, BDC, SAGE Intacct, Microsoft Office 365 Suite, and related software tools, with a willingness to quickly become proficient in FloQast, Engagement, Advance Flow, and other reconciliation tools.Lead, onboard, train, and build high-performing teams that excel in Client Accounting Services (CAS), while fostering strong client and team relationships to exceed expectations.Identify and resolve client service or people-related issues, guiding solutions from ideation through execution.Ensure timely and accurate completion of all bookkeeping activities, including complex accounting tasks, financial analysis, and reportingwithout requiring technical corrections from clients.Learn client workflows, accounting practices, and preferences, and train engagement teams accordingly. Conduct research to resolve client-specific challenges.Provide leadership in training staff on workpaper techniques, documentation standards, and addressing client quality concerns. Review reconciliations, reports, MIS, analyses, and month-end activities.Stay current with technical developments in accounting, share knowledge with the team, and obtain / maintain relevant certifications.Resolve operational issues that hinder team effectiveness and address substandard work to maintain high-quality standards.Manage and prioritize multiple client projects, consistently meeting 8-12 years of experience in Accounting with a B.Com or MBA, or CA Inter with 3 years of articleship plus 5-8 years of Accounting experience.CA / CMA qualified professionals with 5-7 years of Accounting experience will be given preference.Proven experience managing teams of 3-4 members in a professional services environment.Strong knowledge of industry-specific accounting regulations and compliance requirements.Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights.Commitment to upholding the firms code of ethics and business conduct.Experience coaching and mentoring team members, encouraging ownership of their personal Skills :Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.Strategic thinking with the ability to contribute to planning and decision-making processes.Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.Familiarity with emerging technologies and their impact on accounting practices.Experience developing and implementing client service strategies.(ref : iimjobs.com)
