Key Responsibilities :
Design & Development
- Lead piping system design for CDU-based single-phase and two-phase liquid cooling systems.
- Create 3D models, assembly layouts, and manufacturing drawings using CAD tools (Creo, SolidWorks, etc.).
- Develop P&IDs, isometric drawings, and BOMs.
- Optimize piping layouts for flow efficiency, reduced pressure drop, and minimal vibration.
- Select appropriate materials, fittings, valves, hoses, and connectors considering corrosion, thermal performance, and cost.
- Incorporate leak prevention, ease of maintenance, and assembly feasibility.
- Expertise in DFA, DFM, DFMEA, GD&T aspects.
- Knowledge of corrosion, scaling, SS material, and metallurgical properties.
Analysis & Validation
Perform or oversee flow analysis (CFD) and thermal-hydraulic calculations for sizing pipes, hoses, and manifolds.Apply stress analysis for pressure, vibration, and thermal expansion.Support prototype builds and validation testing (pressure, burst, leak, vibration tests).Documentation & Compliance
Maintain design documentation including specifications, test reports, and compliance checklists.Ensure compliance with ASME B31.3 / B31.9, ISO 9001, RoHS, and data center cooling standards.Support technical reviews, DFMEA, and design approval processes.Cross-functional Collaboration
Work with mechanical, electrical, controls, and manufacturing teams for integration and optimization.Collaborate with suppliers for sourcing, manufacturability, and cost optimization.Provide technical guidance to installation, service, and commissioning teams.Skills Required
