Job Summary :
The IT Support Engineer will be responsible for end-user computing support, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices. The role involves managing user accounts, troubleshooting application and network issues, coordinating with central IT teams, and ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations across the organization.
Key Responsibilities :
1. System Setup & Configuration :
- Build and configure Windows 10 / 11 desktops and laptops for end users.
- Join systems to the corporate domain and configure user profiles as per organizational standards.
- Install and configure standard and business-specific applications, including MS Office, email clients (Outlook, Lotus Notes), antivirus software, and enterprise security tools (e.g., CrowdStrike).
- Deploy and configure SAP client and other department-specific applications.
2. Application Support & Maintenance :
Provide BAU (Business As Usual) support for end-user software, ensuring smooth functionality and timely updates.Troubleshoot and resolve application-related issues raised by end users.Coordinate with vendors or Level 2 / 3 teams for advanced issue resolution.3. User Account & Access Management :
Manage user creation, deletion, and transfer activities in coordination with the ITSS team.Log and track service requests through the ITC Service Desk for mailbox and Active Directory (AD) modifications.Verify and manage AD groups, including creation, modification, and deletion in collaboration with group owners.Handle user account unlocking and password resets.Liaise with Central AD and Network teams for access-related or directory synchronization issues.4. Network & Connectivity Support :
Perform initial diagnosis of network-related issues (LAN / WAN / Wi-Fi).Provide basic troubleshooting for network connectivity, printer access, and shared drive issues.Collaborate with the ITSS network team for WAN-related escalations and coordinate with vendors for timely resolution.Supervise LAN switches and assist the Network Engineer in monitoring network health.5. Audio-Visual (AV) & VC Room Support :
Set up and manage VC room equipment for meetings and conferences.Provide on-site assistance during video conferencing sessions and ensure smooth connectivity and audio visual quality.Coordinate with the AV vendor for maintenance and issue resolution.6. Incident Management & Vendor Coordination :
Log, track, and update incidents and service requests in the ITSM tool.Ensure adherence to SLA timelines and escalate unresolved issues to relevant teams or vendors.Follow up with external vendors for timely resolution of LAN, hardware, and software-related issues.Required Skills & Qualifications :
Education : Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience : 1-4 years of experience in desktop support, IT infrastructure, or end-user computing.
Technical Skills :
Strong knowledge of Windows 10 / 11 installation and configuration.Experience with MS Office Suite, Outlook / Lotus Notes setup, and SAP client installation.Familiarity with antivirus / security tools (e.g., CrowdStrike, Symantec, etc.).Basic understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and group policies.Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP / IP, LAN / WAN, switches, routers).Experience in video conferencing setups and AV equipment management.Soft Skills :
