We are looking for a motivated and skilled sales manager to lead sales efforts for Ansys academic solutions within Bangalore and nearby regions. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 7 years of sales experience, preferably in technology or software sales, with exposure to academic or educational sectors. You will play a key role in expanding Ansys’s footprint in academic institutions by building strong relationships and driving adoption.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for Ansys academic products.
- Identify and engage with key stakeholders in universities, engineering colleges, and research institutes.
- Conduct product demonstrations, workshops, and training sessions tailored for academic users.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with faculty, researchers, and academic decision-makers.
- Collaborate with marketing and technical teams to enhance customer engagement and sales effectiveness.
- Track market trends and competitor activities in the academic software domain.
- Manage sales pipeline and forecasts, and maintain CRM data accurately.
- Negotiate deals and close sales to maximize revenue and market penetration.
- Provide feedback from academic customers for continuous product and service improvement.
Qualifications & Skills :
4 to 6 years of sales experience, ideally in software, technology solutions, or academic sales.Proven ability to engage and sell to academic institutions or education-focused organizations.Familiarity with engineering simulation software like Ansys is highly desirable.Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.Strong relationship-building skills with a customer-centric approach.Self-driven, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field preferred.Willingness to travel within Bangalore and occasionally across India.
