Senior / Associate Power Systems Engineer - Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane or Adelaide

Are you ready to take your engineering expertise to the next level?

WSP is seeking a Senior Power Systems Engineer to join our national team and play a key role in delivering Australia’s most impactful energy projects.

This is a technical role where your knowledge of power systems will drive complex grid connection studies, generator performance assessments, and power system modelling. You’ll work across all stages of project delivery—from feasibility and advisory through to execution and commissioning—while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with industry leaders.

We work across solar, wind, hydropower, thermal energy, waste-to-energy, bioenergy, battery storage, transmission & distribution, and systems and automation—supporting Australia’s transition to a more sustainable future.

Our Power Systems Analysis & Grid Connections team partners with developers, utilities, and network service providers to deliver comprehensive grid connection services across all stages of a project, including :

• Feasibility and preliminary assessments
• Owner’s engineer and technical due diligence
• Power system modelling and simulation
• Generator performance standards (GPS) studies
• Connection application package development (R0 and R1)
• R2 model validation and GPS compliance assessment
• Ongoing technical advisory through commissioning
