The team leader, Loans product

(LAS, LAP, Business loan) in the Sales & Distribution department will be responsible for managing and growing the sales of Loan Against Securities through a network of external distributors. This role involves building strong distributor relationships, training, and supporting distributors, and ensuring that the Loan products are effectively marketed and sold to the right client segments. The Senior Manager will also focus on increasing market penetration, driving revenue growth, and ensuring that sales processes meet compliance and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

Distributor Management : Identify, onboard, and manage relationships with external distributors (such as brokers, financial advisors, or other distribution partners). Act as the key liaison between the company and the distributor network to ensure alignment and performance.

Sales Growth : Drive the sales of Loan Against Securities products through external distributors by setting clear targets, providing necessary sales support, and ensuring distributors meet their sales quotas.

Training & Support : Provide ongoing training, guidance, and product knowledge to distributors to ensure they are equipped to effectively promote and sell Loan Against Securities products. Offer support to resolve any issues and drive performance.

Market Expansion : Identify and evaluate new distribution channels and partnerships to increase the reach and sales of Loan Against Securities products. Ensure strong market coverage and identify new business opportunities within existing distributor channels.

Marketing & Promotion : Work closely with marketing teams to develop promotional materials, campaigns, and strategies that will help distributors generate leads and increase sales of Loan Against Securities.

Client Segmentation : Work with distributors to target the right client segments, including high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs), businesses, and institutional clients, who may benefit from leveraging securities as collateral for loans.

Compliance & Risk Management : Ensure that all distribution activities comply with company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards. Monitor and mitigate risks associated with the sales and distribution process.

Performance Tracking & Reporting : Monitor distributor performance, sales metrics, and loan book growth. Provide regular reports and forecasts on sales performance and recommend strategies to improve distributor sales outcomes.

Customer Engagement : Assist in high-value client negotiations and complex sales processes, providing key insights and support to the distributor network in closing high-ticket loans.

Relationship Management : Foster long-term relationships with key distributors to ensure ongoing business, loyalty, and high levels of client satisfaction. Resolve distributor issues and handle escalations effectively.

Qualifications

Education : Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. A Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) is a plus.

Experience : Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in financial product sales, with a focus on secured lending or loans against securities. At least 3-5 years of experience in managing distribution channels, partnerships, or third-party networks.

Skills :

Strong understanding of Loan Against Securities products and market dynamics.

Proven track record in managing distributor networks and driving sales through third-party channels.

Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.

Ability to train, support, and motivate distributors to achieve business goals.

Familiarity with compliance and regulatory frameworks related to financial products and distribution.

Strong strategic thinking and market expansion capabilities.

Certifications : Any relevant certifications in financial services, sales, or distribution (e.g., CFA, CFP) would be a plus.

Language : Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
