About the Role

As an Engagement Manager, you will be responsible for driving strategy for a portfolio for a financial services client. This leadership role requires deep knowledge in technology and data management with financial expertise, exceptional client management, and the ability to lead and mentor a team of consultants. An important part of your role will be to actively establish internal and external relationships while helping to identify potential business opportunities for Straive within existing engagements. You will combine strategic vision with financial expertise to deliver tailored solutions that improve operational efficiency, drive profitability, and achieve long-term strategic goals for our clients. This is a visible, leadership-level role that involves managing a portfolio of projects, leading and developing a team, and acting as a key business partner to C-suite executives both internally and externally.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic advisory : Act as a trusted advisor to senior executives and board members, providing expert guidance on complex tech challenges and come up with solutions.
  • Consulting Engagement leadership : Lead and oversee the full lifecycle of consulting projects, from initial assessment and strategy development to implementation and post-engagement review. Ensure all deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction.
  • Team leadership and development : Manage, mentor, and guide a high-performing team of Technology consultants. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and excellence.
  • Financial analysis and reporting : Direct advanced financial analysis, forecasting, and modelling to provide clients with data-driven, actionable insights. Oversee the preparation and presentation of comprehensive financial reports to client leadership.
  • Change management : Guide clients through major organizational changes and digital transformations, ensuring smooth transitions and effective implementation of new strategies and technologies.
  • Industry expertise and innovation : Stay abreast of financial regulations, industry trends, and emerging technologies (e.G., AI, automation) to provide clients with cutting-edge, competitive solutions.

Qualifications

  • A fulltime MBA from a top tier institute.
  • A minimum of 10+ years of experience in tech leadership or management consulting, preferably with a background in banking, financial services, or fintech and interested in business process re-engineering, finance technology implementation for finance process efficiency and digitalization.
  • Good understanding of Business Value Chain and ERP finance related module is an advantage.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, with a track record of mentoring and developing junior talent.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly and build trust with diverse stakeholders.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex issues and develop innovative, structured solutions.
  • Strong Financial business acumen and a solid understanding of Financial business fundamentals, market dynamics, and competitive strategy.
  • Experience managing multiple complex projects and a diverse team simultaneously.
