Job Title : Senior Delivery Leader – IT Services
Role Overview :
The Senior Delivery Leader is responsible for end-to-end management and delivery of complex IT programs and portfolios, ensuring client satisfaction, operational excellence, and financial performance. This role requires strategic oversight, leadership, and deep expertise in application development, support, and transformation projects within a large-scale, Tier 1 / 2 IT services organization.
Key Responsibilities :
- Program & Portfolio Management : Lead and orchestrate multiple application development, support, and transformation programs. Manage portfolios with a focus on high-value accounts (above $30 Mil ACV) and multiple concurrent projects across various delivery models including Time & Material, Fixed Price, and Production Support.
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement : Build strong relationships with key clients, understand their strategic objectives, and align delivery practices to meet business needs. Regularly communicate program status, risks, and opportunities to senior stakeholders.
- Delivery Excellence : Ensure delivery quality, adherence to timelines, scope, and budget. Drive operational efficiency through process optimization, automation, and innovation initiatives. Oversee delivery teams, including large multi-national and cross-functional resources (>
450 members).
Leadership & Team Management : Provide leadership and mentorship to large delivery teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, high performance, and accountability. Manage staffing, resource planning, and retention strategies.Financial & Risk Management : Oversee financial performance, ensure revenue realization, manage margins, and deliver on profitability targets. Identify and mitigate risks proactively, handling escalations effectively.Transformation & Continuous Improvement : Lead enterprise-wide transformation projects, leveraging latest tools, methodologies, and industry best practices. Promote automation, digitalization, and agile ways of working within the delivery framework.Compliance & Governance : Maintain compliance with organizational policies, contractual obligations, and industry standards. Establish and monitor governance frameworks, KPIs, and SLAs.Required Skills & Experience :
Overall experience of 20+ years in IT services or consulting organizations with a focus on application delivery.Proven track record managing large, complex portfolios valued above $30 million annually.Extensive experience in Application Development, Support, and Transformation Projects.Demonstrated ability to handle diverse delivery models : T&M, Fixed Price, Production Support.Proven experience managing large teams (>450 members) across multiple geographies.
Strong client relationship management skills, especially within Tier 1 & 2 IT service firms.Ability to lead multi-million dollar programs with a focus on delivery excellence and client satisfaction.Excellent stakeholder communication and leadership skills.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; MSc or MBA preferred.Preferred Qualifications :
Experience in Tier 1 / 2 IT services organizations.Certifications in PMP, ITIL, Agile, or related frameworks.Experience with automation, next-gen technology deployment, and digital transformation initiatives.This role demands a highly strategic, experienced leader capable of managing multiple large-scale projects, aligning delivery with business goals, and driving organizational growth through operational excellence.
