Mainframe Engineer II

Experience : 6–9 years

Location : Bangalore

Work Model : Hybrid (3 days in Amex office)

Key Responsibilities :

Design, develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL and JCL.

Work with DB2 for data management and SQL queries.

Participate in application troubleshooting, performance tuning, and debugging.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.

Ensure coding standards, documentation, and compliance with best practices.

Support production systems and participate in on-call rotations.

Assist with implementation of IMS, MQ, and scheduling tools where applicable.

Qualifications :

6–9 years of experience in mainframe development and support.

Strong programming skills in COBOL , DB2 , and JCL .

Knowledge of IMS, MQ , and scheduling tools is a plus.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Good communication and collaboration abilities.

Ability to work in a hybrid environment with 3 days in the office in Bangalore.
