Position : R&D Scientist - Surfactants

Location : Bharuch Industrial Area, Gujarat

Qualification : Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced R&D Scientist with 8-12 years of hands-on and leadership experience in process R&D within the Surfactants & Emulsifiers industry. The role involves driving development, optimization, and scale-up of organic molecules from lab to pilot / commercial scale, ensuring cost-effective, safe, and sustainable processes.

Requirements :

Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry with 8-12 years of industrial R&D experience

Minimum 2 years in the Surfactant & Emulsifiers industry

Strong expertise in ethoxylation and one of the following - esterification, sulfonation, , propoxylation, and carboxylation

Experience in process safety, technology transfer, and scale-up

Strong analytical, documentation, and leadership skills

Roles and Responsibilities :

• Lead and mentor a team of chemists to deliver R&D and process development projects.
• Develop, optimize, and scale-up processes from lab to pilot and commercial scale.
• Conduct tech transfer, prepare process documentation, and ensure on-floor implementation.
• Collaborate with production, EHS, and quality teams for safe and smooth execution.
• Drive innovation through non-infringing, cost-effective, and sustainable chemistry solutions.
