We are seeking a talented, hands-on Solar Project Engineer to join our growing renewable energy engineering team. This position is ideal for someone with 2–4 years of practical experience in solar PV projects who is passionate about delivering clean, reliable, and efficient energy solutions.
Role Overview
The Solar Project Engineer is a technical anchor throughout the life cycle of a solar project — from pre-sales through detailed engineering, execution, commissioning, and hand-over to operations. You will act as a bridge between design, procurement, site execution, and client teams to ensure that every project meets technical, safety, schedule, and budget objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Site Assessment & Feasibility
- Conduct on-site surveys, assess technical and structural feasibility, evaluate grid availability, and prepare preliminary load analysis and yield projections.
- Engineering & Design Coordination
- Review and validate system designs, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and layouts prepared by the design team. Ensure alignment with project specifications, local regulations, MNRE / CEA guidelines, and IEC / IEEE standards.
- Procurement & Vendor Coordination
- Support procurement teams by reviewing technical datasheets, vendor offers, and equipment certifications to ensure compliance and cost-effectiveness.
- Project Execution & Supervision
- Oversee on-site activities, including civil, mechanical, and electrical works; supervise subcontractors; enforce quality assurance (QA / QC) procedures; and ensure adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) policies.
- Testing & Commissioning
- Prepare and execute commissioning plans, witness performance testing, coordinate grid synchronization, and ensure delivery of all as-built documentation.
- Client & Stakeholder Communication
- Serve as a technical point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal departments. Provide progress updates, resolve technical queries, and maintain transparent documentation.
- Project Close-Out & Handover
- Prepare final reports, punch lists, and training sessions for O&M teams, ensuring smooth transition from construction to operations.
