About the Role
We are looking for a
highly skilled Power Electronics Engineer
to drive the
design, development, and validation of advanced power electronics systems
for electric vehicles (EVs), focusing on
high-voltage battery applications .
This role will contribute to shaping the next generation of EV propulsion and energy storage systems while working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and high-performance solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end development of
DC-DC converters, onboard chargers (OBC), inverters, and BMS interfaces
Define
system architecture and component specifications
for high-voltage (400V–800V) battery systems
Collaborate with
mechanical, thermal, and systems engineering teams
for integration
Simulation, modelling, and analysis of power electronics circuits using
PLECS, MATLAB / Simulink, LTspice
Guide
PCB layout
for high-power designs ensuring EMI / EMC compliance and thermal management
Drive
validation and testing
of prototypes in lab and vehicle environments
Evaluate and select components such as
IGBTs, SiC / GaN FETs, gate drivers, magnetics, and capacitors
Ensure compliance with
automotive standards
such as ISO 26262, AEC-Q100, and functional safety
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to
technical reviews and design documentation
Manage
requirements, system integration, test strategy, and issue resolution
Document system requirements and specifications with traceable test cases for smooth validation
Required Skills & Experience
3+ years in
HV Systems Engineering, BMS design, or related Power Electronics roles
Expertise in
vehicle system interfaces and integration
Experience in
HV Product Development for EVs , system engineering, and understanding of
product / software development life cycle
Hands-on experience in
CAN tools
(CANalyzer, CANoe, DET) is an advantage
Familiarity with
requirements management tools
(DOORS, SYSML / UML, Mantis, CodeBeamer)
Strong understanding of
high-voltage systems, safety protocols, thermal management, and electrical system integration
Leadership, initiative, and excellent problem-solving skills
Degree in
Electrical / Electronic Engineering
or equivalent discipline
