Job descriptionFormer founder strongly preferred or significant early-stage startup experience (pre-Series A) 5-7 years building production systems that handle real user problems Built at least one indie project involving AI / automation Strong engineering fundamentals : distributed systems, databases, cloud infrastructure Experience with Python, workflow orchestration tools, AWS ecosystem Experience attracting and managing high-quality talent Comfortable with healthcare / fintech-level regulatory requirements
One of our early-stage B2B SaaS portfolio companies is looking for an experienced Head of Engineering to come and lead the engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Drive architectural decisions, establish engineering standards, and mentor the existing team while scaling to 10+ engineers
- Build reliable agent orchestration using Temporal workflows and modern agentic frameworks.
- Lead hiring for critical technical roles, establish engineering culture, and build processes that scale
- Take end-to-end responsibility for system reliability, performance, and compliance in revenue-critical environments
- Navigate HIPAA compliance, healthcare regulations, and audit requirements at the architectural level
