Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of all activities and resources related to the ZICC SAP BASIS organization.
- Stay current on emerging technologies and assess best-fit solutions to meet Zoetis' evolving ERP needs.
- Define protocols for cross-functional collaboration, ensuring seamless design, build, implementation, and ongoing operations of SAP applications.
- Collaborate with ITS peers to determine requirements for global system deployments and ensure optimal system availability, performance, and continuity.
- Engage with hosting service providers and internal infrastructure teams to implement documentation, backup, disaster recovery, and system recovery solutions.
- Host and manage regular status reviews with external service providers regarding ticket statuses, maintenance schedules, root cause analysis for disruptions, and impacted SLAs.
- Support technical emergency resolution efforts, coordinating resources across disciplines to minimize business impact.
- Develop and maintain technical operations procedures (TOPs).
- Provide BASIS support for new SAP projects, upgrades, and migrations.
- Conduct performance tuning, job monitoring, and routine system health checks.
- Oversee regular high availability and disaster recovery testing and execution.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, FDA / global regulatory guidelines (including cGMP / cGLP / cGCP), and environmental standards.
- Support internal audits and ITGC testing related to Zoetis SOX obligations.

Education :
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Technical, System Administration, IT Infrastructure Management, or related fields.Experience :
8+ years of SAP BASIS administration with multiple full lifecycle implementations, upgrades, and migrations.Minimum 3 years of experience in system / database administration and cloud-hosted environments.At least 1 year of experience in SAP IT project management.Strong background in infrastructure and operations, including cloud platforms.Effective relationship management and customer service skills.Life sciences / pharmaceutical industry experience is preferred.Technical Skills Requirements
Expertise in SAP system administration including :BASIS administration, transport and change management, system architecture, performance tuning, ABAP dump analysis, buffer tuning, and DB admin.Proficient with operating systems : UNIX or Windows.Proficient with databases : Oracle, SQL Server, MaxDB, etc.Deep understanding of :SAP ECC, APO, MDG, SAP PI, GRC, NFe, Vistex, Hybris Commerce, MS Azure Integration, HANA / S4 HANA, OpenText, Onapsis.Hands-on experience with :Solution Manager, system sizing, landscape design, installation, integration.System upgrades, support packs, enhancement packs, and DR planning / execution.Physical Position Requirements
Regular working hours : 3 : 00 AM to 12 : 00 PM EST (ICC Second Shift) .Additional EST overlap may be required during production go-live periods.Occasional weekend work as per business needs.Skills Required
