Job Purpose :
Own and grow shopping category through strategic assortment, vendor partnerships, and profitability optimization to meet customer needs and business goals.
Key Responsibility :
- Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitor strategies, and consumer preferences, translating insights into actionable plans.
- Design and implement comprehensive category management strategies to achieve business goals and expand market presence.
- Lead new product launches and lifecycle management within the Shopping category
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and shopper insights to identify growth opportunities..
- Lead vendor negotiations to secure cost efficiencies, optimize margins, and enhance vendor partnerships.
- Partner with marketing teams to define product messaging, positioning, and promotional strategies aligned with brand objectives.
- Formulate and execute pricing strategies and promotional campaigns to optimize profitability, balancing consumer value perception and market dynamics.
- Stay abreast of industry innovations, competitor activities, and new technologies to provide forward-looking recommendations to senior management
- Evaluate customer feedback and implement enhancements to improve overall customer experience and loyalty.
Experience
3+ years of experience as a Category Manager in retail ore-commerce.
Proven experience in managing partnerships and drivingcategory growth
