This role is for an IT / Software Sales Executive to drive new business development and manage client relationships in the technology sector. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, knowledgeable, and customer-focused professional with a talent for translating technical specifications into clear business value.
Responsibilities
- Develop new business through proactive networking and cold calling .
- Arrange business meetings and effectively follow up on leads.
- Understand a customer's specific business needs and apply product knowledge to meet those needs.
- Master the functionality of products and services, as well as the industry sector in which they're being sold (e.g., banking, medical, retail).
- Ensure quality of service by developing a thorough and detailed knowledge of technical specifications .
- Prepare and deliver customer presentations and demonstrations of the software with confidence and clarity.
- Provide ongoing support to customers, offering clear advice and solutions.
- Write and design sales literature .
- Attend industry events and work closely with the marketing department.
- Stay current with constantly changing software, hardware systems, and peripherals .
- Develop effective sales plans using a proven sales methodology.
- Occasional international travel may be required, depending on the company's scope.
