Job Summary :
SBM Offshore is seeking a hands-on Digital Solution Support Lead with over 7 years of experience in software development and technical operations. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years in a leadership role, responsible for overseeing a team that provides Level 2 / 3 support for a portfolio of enterprise applications.
This position requires a leader with a strong technical foundation to maintain system uptime, optimize performance, and ensure the resilience of our digital solutions. You will be instrumental in bridging the gap between development and operations, ensuring technical discipline and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead a technical support team to provide expert, hands-on support for complex software applications, ensuring high availability and reliability.
- Provide technical guidance and oversight for back-end development best practices, focusing on technologies such as C# / .NET, Java, or Python, and ensuring compliance with unit testing and code review standards.
- Manage and optimize the CI / CD deployment pipeline using tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions to automate builds, testing, and deployments across multiple environments.
- Lead technical deep-dives and root cause analysis (RCA) to resolve critical application and infrastructure issues, providing hands-on support for database, API, and microservices problems.
- Maintain and optimize technical discipline guidelines, contributing to the development of a support framework that includes monitoring, logging (Splunk, ELK Stack), and alerting.
- Collaborate with product owners and solution architects to review technical designs, ensuring new features are supportable, scalable, and secure.
- Manage competing priorities and define technical tasks to meet key milestones and deliverables for both planned features and emergency fixes.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and security protocols, including vulnerability management and audit readiness.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT operations or software development support, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.Proven hands-on experience with one or more major programming languages such as C#, Python, or Java.Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and expertise with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.Experience with CI / CD methodologies and tools.Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases.A deep understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API management.Excellent problem-solving skills and experience with formal troubleshooting methodologies.(ref : hirist.tech)
