Database Administrator - MySQL / MariaDB

About The Role

Were looking for an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and optimize databases like MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB across Linux, UNIX, and Windows environments.

Youll ensure databases are stable, secure, and high-performing to support business-critical Responsibilities :

• Install & configure MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
• Set up standalone, High Availability (HA), and Disaster Recovery (DR) environments.
• Perform database upgrades, patching, and migrations.
• Optimize SQL queries and improve database performance.
• Troubleshoot performance issues and long-running queries.
• Clone production databases to UAT / Dev environments.
• Manage backups, recovery, and resolve backup issues.
• Refresh databases and tables as needed.
• Create and manage users, roles, and access privileges.
• Maintain database security and regularly update protocols.
• Document processes and database configurations.
• Write basic shell scripts for automation.
• Ensure data integrity and debug system issues.
• Collaborate with development teams on database :
• 6 years of experience with MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
• Strong skills in tuning, performance optimization, and database troubleshooting.
• Hands-on with HA / DR setups and database migrations.
• Familiarity with scripting (Shell), SQL tuning, and API integration.
• Good understanding of database design and architecture.
• Strong problem-solving and ownership mindset.
