Role overview
We are looking for a highly responsible and proactive Application Management Engineer to oversee the stability and performance of our Instant Payment System . The role is focused on investigating issues identifying root causes and ensuring smooth operations in a complex multi-system environment. You will act as the first line of deep analysis ensuring incidents are properly triaged understood and escalated with actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage monitor and support an Instant Payment System across development test and production environments.
- Act as a point of escalation for Production related incidents perform troubleshooting and investigate root cause analysis.
- Perform root cause analysis using observability tools log analysis and reverse engineering when needed.
- Participate in On-Call shifts on a rota basis (24 / 7) and ensure support for Production critical incidents
- Support with release preparation activities including PRs and branch preparation configuration management and validations in collaboration with development and infrastructure teams.
- Analyze recurring issues and implement permanent fixes to improve application stability and performance.
- Collaborate with developers QA and infrastructure teams to optimize the application lifecycle.
- Maintain documentation for processes system configurations and application support guidelines.
- Continuously improve monitoring detection and analysis processes (using Splunk Dynatrace) and proactively address potential risks or bottlenecks.
Qualifications :
Required Skills and Qualifications
Proven experience (3-8 years) in supporting Payment or Financial systems /Strong knowledge of application deployment monitoring and troubleshooting tools .Experience with observability tools (e.g. Grafana Prometheus ELK Splunk Dynatrace AppDynamics NewRelic). Ability to perform log analysis and identify patterns quickly.Familiarity with databases (SQL / Oracle) & API-based integrations how to troubleshoot them.Experience with ITSM tools (e.g. JIRA ServiceNow) for incident change and problem management.Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS / Azure / GCP) and containerization (Docker Kubernetes) is an advantage.Strong understanding of SDLC and release management processes.Understanding compliance and audit requirements in financial / transaction domains.Excellent communication and collaboration skills; team player mindset.Ability to work in On-call rotations and handle high-pressure production issues.Fast learner with the ability to adapt to complex environments.Nice to Have
ITIL certification or equivalent knowledge of IT service management frameworks.Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins GitHub Actions GitLab CI).Experience with reverse engineering software behavior in production.Background in Banking Payments or Financial Services industry .Familiarity with regulatory and compliance standards (e.g. ISO PCI-DSS).Additional Information :
