We are actively seeking a highly strategic and results-oriented Assistant Manager to drive growth within the Home category for our client's marketplace operations through Acme Services . This pivotal role involves owning the Profit & Loss (P&L) for the category, identifying market trends, optimizing inventory, and executing impactful marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, excellent coordination skills, and a proven ability to manage end-to-end e-commerce category operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Marketplace Growth & Category Ownership : Take charge of driving marketplace growth for the Home category , with a sharp focus on consumer behavior and competitive landscape. Own the P&L for the category / brand across all marketplaces, ensuring the achievement of sales targets and gross margins in alignment with broader business goals. Manage topline and bottom-line performance, product returns, and inventory mix .
- Market Analysis & Optimization : Identify broader trends and proactively fill category gaps . This involves researching, analyzing data, and leveraging market insights to effectively double down on winning SKUs (Stock Keeping Units). Develop processes and undertake operational planning to support accurate forecasting and successful new product launches.
- Cross-Functional Coordination : Effectively and fruitfully coordinate with marketing, supply chain, finance / commercial , and other critical functions of the organization to ensure seamless operations and strategic alignment.
- Marketing & Promotion : Plan, drive, and execute various marketing activities specifically designed to boost category sales and improve overall efficiencies. Drive visibility plans and promotion plans , coordinating these efforts seamlessly between the marketing team and the category team.
- Merchandising & Operations Management : Possess prior experience or sufficient knowledge and confidence to manage merchandising operations, inbound planning, cataloging, and discount monitoring , ensuring products are presented optimally and pricing is competitive.
