Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities :

• Financial Management & Reporting :
• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure timely closure of books of accounts as per statutory timelines.
• Analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights to management.
• Costing & Budgeting :
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and cost analysis reports.
• Monitor product costing, BOM analysis, and variance reporting.
• Optimize cost control strategies and identify areas for savings.
• Taxation & Compliance :
• Ensure timely filing and compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory regulations.
• Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and regulatory bodies.
• Internal Controls & Audits :
• Develop and implement internal control policies and procedures.
• Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
• Inventory & Fixed Asset Management :
• Oversee stock audits, asset capitalization, depreciation, and physical verification.
• Work closely with production and supply chain teams to manage working capital.
• Fundraising & Financial Strategy
• Raise funds through banks, financial institutions, or private investors.
• Prepare financial models, project reports, and investor presentations.
• Negotiate loan terms, monitor covenants, and manage lender / investor relations.
• Evaluate financing options to support capital expansion and working capital requirements.
• Legal Advisor :
• Advise on financial legal issues including tax planning, GST, corporate law, and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare and review contracts, agreements, MOUs, and other legal documents.
• Ensure company adherence to Companies Act, Income Tax Act, and other financial statutes.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and legal counsels.
• Support due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, or joint ventures.
• Represent the company in financial / legal disputes or litigation proceedings when necessary.
• Monitor changes in laws and regulations relevant to the business and update internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for contract negotiation and risk assessments.
• Conduct internal audits and suggest financial / legal improvements to reduce liabilities.
• ERP & System Management :
• Handle ERP (SAP / Tally / Oracle) based accounting systems.
• Ensure accurate data integration between departments.
