Role Summary :
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Finance & Compliance Role to manage statutory compliance (FCRA, Income Tax, GST, Companies Act), support external audits, and coordinate high-stakes funder due diligence and equivalency determination processes. The role will ensure that the organization remains legally compliant while maintaining transparency and credibility with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities :
- Regulatory Research & Updates
- Regularly track changes in statutory laws such as :
- Income Tax Act
- FCRA Regulations
- Companies Act, 2013
- GST
- Social Stock Exchange (SSE) requirements (if applicable)
- Share actionable insights and compliance updates with the finance and leadership team.
- Statutory Audit Coordination
- Lead coordination with external statutory auditors.
- Prepare and collate data, documentation, and reports required for audit completion.
- Maintaining compliance calendar and ensuring all the compliances related to Statutory Audit
- Ensure timely closure of audit queries and finalization of statutory audit.
- FCRA Compliance
- Maintain up-to-date FCRA documentation and reporting.
- Prepare and coordinate with the external consultant for filing necessary forms.
- Income Tax Filing & Compliance
- Coordinate preparation and filing of Annual Income Tax Return
- Reconciliation of Donation received & 10BD filed
- Ensure timely renewal of 12AB and 80G registrations.
- Compliance calendar –
- Maintaining compliance calendar and flagging discrepancies to the respective process owners for taking corrective action
- Funder Due Diligence & Equivalency Determination (ED)
- Coordinate and compile documentation for donor due diligence processes
- Handle Equivalency Determination (ED) requirements from international funders.
- Provide high-quality responses with quick turnaround for sensitive donor queries.
- Fixed Asset Register (FAR) Management
- Review of FAR data from ERP & ensuring correct grouping
- Support depreciation calculations
Key Skills & Competencies :
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.Strong understanding of statutory compliance in India.Experience on Income Tax, Companies Act, 2013.Preferable experience with FCRA.Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word), Tally / ERP systems.
