Position Overview
A CCTV Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of CCTV systems and related security equipment. The role ensures that surveillance systems function effectively to maintain safety and security across premises.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and test CCTV cameras, DVR / NVR systems, access controls, and related security devices.
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure proper functionality of CCTV systems.
- Monitor system performance, diagnose issues, and implement effective solutions.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and prevent potential equipment failures.
- Ensure proper cabling, wiring, and power supply connections for CCTV installations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of installations, maintenance records, and service reports.
- Provide technical support and training to clients / end users on system usage.
- Stay updated on new technologies, products, and industry standards in surveillance systems.
- Adhere to safety protocols, electrical standards, and company policies during installation and service work.
- Collaborate with the security / IT team to integrate CCTV systems with other security infrastructure.
Qualifications & Skills
Diploma / ITI in Electronics, Electrical, or a related field (preferred).Proven experience in CCTV installation and maintenance.Strong knowledge of DVR / NVR systems, IP cameras, networking, and cabling.Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals.Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Good communication and customer service abilities.Physically fit and comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces.Valid driving license (as required).Education
Masters in Technology (M.Tech / M.E), Bachelor Of Technology (B.Tech / B.E)
