Strategic Vendor Engagement Manager

Job descriptionAssess risk and ensure compliance with contractual obligations. Request assistance when necessary. Create and manage purchase requests and orders. Generate non-disclosure agreements. Track the status of purchase requests, purchase orders, and invoices, and follow up to ensure timely processing and payment. Respond promptly to ad-hoc requests and questions. Monitor ongoing and new engagements throughout the day to ensure efficient progression. Excellent organizational and task management skills : ability to track multiple engagements simultaneously and ensure timely follow-ups. Strong ability to navigate complex processes and work across multiple systems and teams. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills : able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders. Problem-solving mindset : capable of not only answering direct questions but also identifying potential issues and proposing solutions. Self-starter attitude : able to independently recognize needs, anticipate potential challenges, and take proactive action. Ability to explain long, detailed processes to others in a clear and concise manner.
Job Summary :
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Vendor Engagement Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for managing and tracking third-party engagements throughout the contracting lifecycle, from contract development to invoicing, ensuring compliance with legal and finance standards.
About the Role :
- Review and address all updates at the start of the day to identify action items for multiple third-party engagements.
- Document the progress of each engagement, including next steps, responsible parties, and follow-up timelines.
- Provide guidance to team members on appropriate next steps and facilitate their execution.
- Collaborate with internal teams, loop in stakeholders, and chase down answers to contracting-related questions.
- Ensure that all contracts adhere to standard legal and finance terms.
- Act as a liaison between stakeholders for contract-related matters.
