Develop and execute business development strategies for the insurance business in rural regions.
- Recruit, train, and onboard POSPs (Point of Sales Persons) to drive insurance product sales.
- Promote and sell retail insurance products, with a strong focus on crop insurance.
- Build a strong network in rural markets and develop market-specific sales plans.
- Conduct outreach programs to educate and onboard farmers about insurance products.
- Manage end-to-end sales processes, ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance.
- Monitor POSP performance, drive engagement, and support them in achieving sales targets.
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline onboarding, product training, and reporting.
Required Skills & Experience :
Proven experience in sales and business development, preferably in rural markets.Strong understanding of insurance products, especially crop insurance and related schemes.Prior experience in farmer engagement and agriculture-based sales.Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Highly organized, with strong planning and reporting capabilities.Ability to work independently and manage multiple regional Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Agriculture, Insurance, or a related field.Masters degree (MBA / PGDM) preferred but not mandatory.(ref : iimjobs.com)
