Mechanical Engineer (Power)

We're looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team, focusing on power plant projects. This role requires extensive knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, with a focus on system design, piping, and equipment. The ideal candidate will be a technical expert capable of leading projects, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring all deliverables meet high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• System Design : Define system requirements, instrumentation, and control logic. Develop System Design Notes, including P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) with supporting calculations.
• Component Sizing & Selection : Perform hydraulic calculations and select appropriate pumps, pipes, valves, and safety valves. You should have knowledge of API 520 / 521 / 526 for PSV sizing and data sheets.
• Project Coordination : Coordinate project design assignments and work closely with design teams. Review detailed pipe routing to ensure it conforms to design requirements.
• Equipment & Vendor Management : Develop equipment specifications, review vendor drawings, and administer equipment contracts.
• Quality Assurance : Prepare and review key deliverables like Process Flow Diagrams, heat and mass balances, and valve lists . Adhere to quality requirements and standard work procedures.
• Team Leadership : Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to less-experienced staff members.
• Client & Stakeholder Relations : Regularly meet with and correspond with clients and other external personnel.
