Overview :
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Vice President to spearhead our Mergers & Acquisitions function for our rapidly growing conglomerate. This senior leadership role will be responsible for developing and executing the M&A strategy, driving both organic and inorganic growth through strategic acquisitions. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in the manufacturing sector, expertise in deal sourcing, financial analysis, and integration, as well as a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams to successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities :
M&A Strategy Formulation & Execution :
- Lead the design and implementation of a comprehensive M&A strategy aligned with the company s long-term goals. Identify new growth opportunities and acquisition targets that complement and enhance the organization s existing businesses.
Target Identification & Evaluation :
Actively identify, evaluate, and source potential acquisition targets within the manufacturing industry, with a primary focus on opportunities in South India. Assess the strategic fit, financial health, and operational synergy of potential targets through thorough due diligence.Negotiation & Deal Structuring :
Take the lead in negotiating and structuring complex deals. Balance strategic alignment with financial objectives, ensuring value-maximizing terms while minimizing risk. Oversee the financial modeling, deal terms, and legal structures.Post-Acquisition Integration :
Oversee the smooth integration of newly acquired companies. Ensure alignment in culture, systems, and operational processes. Work closely with internal teams to drive post-deal synergies and realize long-term value.Stakeholder Engagement & Management :
Work collaboratively with senior leadership and department heads to ensure alignment on acquisition priorities. Foster strong relationships with external advisors, legal partners, and financial institutions.Market Insights & Trend Analysis :
Monitor market trends, industry shifts, competitor activity, and regulatory developments to inform strategic decision-making. Provide insights on emerging opportunities and potential threats.Team Leadership & Development :
Build and lead a high-performing M&A team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment. Mentor junior team members to ensure ongoing capability development and knowledge transfer within the organization.Qualifications : Experience :
18-25 years of experience in leading M&A activities, with a proven track record of managing large and complex transactions, particularly in the manufacturing sector. Experience with global inorganic growth strategies is preferred.Education :
An MBA (or equivalent) from a top-tier institution, with a focus in finance, strategy, or business management.Industry Expertise :In-depth knowledge of the manufacturing sector, especially within India. Understanding of local market dynamics, regulatory environments, and key players is essential.Skills :
Strong negotiation, financial modeling, and due diligence expertise.Proven leadership abilities with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Analytical mindset with the ability to navigate complex decision-making and drive results.Travel Requirements :
Extensive travel within India and potential international travel to meet business needs.
