Job descriptionTrain technicians on the inspection, maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of forklifts and related industrial equipment. Develop and deliver technical training modules (e.g., electrical systems, hydraulics, engine diagnostics). Use diagnostic tools and manuals to teach troubleshooting techniques. Monitor technician skill progression and provide hands-on guidance as needed. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of manufacturer recommendations, equipment upgrades, and emerging technologies. Develop and update training materials, manuals, and assessments. Maintain accurate training records and certification documentation. Support safety audits and recommend corrective training where applicable. Collaborate with management to identify training needs and performance gaps. Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. High school diploma or GED required; technical / vocational training preferred. Certified Forklift Trainer (e.g., OSHA-compliant trainer certification). Relevant technical certifications (e.g., ASE, equipment manufacturer training) preferred. Minimum 3–5 years of experience in forklift operation and / or technician work. At least 2 years of experience in training, instruction, or mentorship roles. Strong knowledge of forklift operations and mechanical systems. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to train individuals with varying levels of experience and skill. Competency in using training software, MS Office Suite, and diagnostic tools. Bilingual (English / Spanish or other) a plus. Cell phone reimbursement Health insurance Paid sick time Provident Fund
Forklift Training :
- Conduct classroom and hands-on training for new and existing forklift operators.
- Train on various types of powered industrial trucks (PITs), including sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks, and pallet jacks.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and company-specific safety regulations.
- Evaluate operator performance and issue operator certifications.
- Conduct refresher courses and re-certification as required.
