We’re currently hiring for one of our portfolio ventures, Nyaay AI.

Nyaay AI is at the forefront of legal technology in India, harnessing advanced artificial intelligence to revolutionize legal research, streamline workflows, and improve access to justice for courts, law firms, and legal professionals. Their open-source, on-premise solutions empower the legal ecosystem with no-code automation, document intelligence, and dynamic legal analytics.

About the Role :

The Business Development Manager will spearhead user acquisition and partnership development efforts within the legal domain. This role requires a unique combination of legal insight and business acumen, helping Nyaay AI connect legal professionals with advanced AI-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities with law firms, legal departments, and legal service providers.
  • Develop, manage, and deepen long-term relationships with prospective and existing clients, partners, and key stakeholders in the legal landscape.
  • Conduct market research, client meetings, product demos, and onboarding sessions to understand pain points and tailor solutions accordingly.
  • Collaborate with product, marketing, and technical teams to ensure client requirements are met and gather actionable feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Represent Nyaay AI at legal conferences, webinars, industry forums, and networking events.
  • Maintain accurate sales pipeline reports, track KPIs, and consistently work toward business targets.

Qualifications :

  • 2-4 years of experience in business development, sales, or client-facing roles, preferably within LegalTech, SaaS, or legal professional services.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB or equivalent) is preferred; other degrees with relevant domain experience will be considered.
  • Deep understanding of legal workflows, practice management, legal research, and technology adoption in legal organizations is a strong asset.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to independently manage sales cycles, build stakeholder trust, and deliver on growth targets.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, sales automation, lead generation, and digital outreach.
