Role OverviewThe Senior Project Manager will play a pivotal role in planning, executing, and delivering Orbit’s premium interior fit-out and MEP projects. This role demands a blend of strategic vision, operational discipline, technical depth, and leadership skills to ensure that projects are executed safely, efficiently, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.The incumbent will be responsible for managing large-scale, high-security, and time-sensitive projects such as airports, corporate offices, and commercial facilities, requiring close coordination with clients, consultants, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams.Responsibilities1. Project Planning & Mobilization
- Develop detailed project execution plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
- Conduct project risk assessments and define mitigation plans.
- Establish clear communication protocols and governance structures with all stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory approvals, site permits, and client protocols (especially for high-security zones like airports).2. Project Execution & Monitoring
- Lead end-to-end execution of projects from mobilization through handover.
- Oversee daily site operations, ensuring smooth coordination between civil, MEP, interiors, and finishing teams.
- Drive adherence to Orbit’s SOPs for QA / QC, Health & Safety (HSE), and documentation.
- Track progress using project management tools (MS Project, Zoho Projects or equivalent) and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Monitor actual vs. planned progress, identify deviations, and initiate recovery measures.3. Financial Management & Cost Control
- Prepare and monitor project budgets, cash flows, and cost-to-complete analyses.
- Validate and approve vendor / subcontractor bills in alignment with project milestones.
- Ensure timely client billing and revenue recognition, safeguarding Orbit’s profitability.
- Negotiate and finalize variation orders, scope changes, and contract amendments with clients and subcontractors.4. Stakeholder & Client Management
- Serve as the single point of accountability for client interactions, approvals, escalations, and progress reviews.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while balancing commercial interests.
- Ensure timely communication of project status, risks, and recovery strategies to both clients and Orbit HO.
- Manage expectations diplomatically while defending Orbit’s contractual and commercial position.5. Team Leadership & Vendor Management
- Lead and motivate multi-disciplinary teams of engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and workers.
- Ensure subcontractors meet productivity, quality, and safety commitments.
- Resolve site-level conflicts between vendors, consultants, and teams with tact.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.6. Risk & Compliance
- Anticipate risks related to labor availability, logistics, government restrictions, and festivals / strikes.
- Establish contingency strategies to minimize impact on project timelines.
- Ensure strict compliance with Orbit’s QA standards, safety policies, and statutory requirements.

- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering / Architecture / Project Management.
- Master’s degree (MBA / Construction Management) preferred.
