Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Executive to manage the financial operations of our growing Biotech & Pharmaceutical business. The ideal candidate will oversee accounting, taxation, budgeting, and compliance, while ensuring adherence to both Indian statutory regulations and industry-specific financial standards. This role requires accuracy, integrity, and a strong understanding of finance within a regulated, research-driven environment.
Location : Pune, Maharashtra, India
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting & Financial Operations
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities and ensure accuracy in all financial transactions.
- Maintain ledgers, trial balance, balance sheets, and profit & loss accounts.
- Supervise payables, receivables, and monthly reconciliations.
- Ensure timely finalization of monthly and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
2. Taxation & Statutory Compliance
Handle all GST, TDS, and Income Tax filings, and ensure adherence to statutory timelines.Prepare and maintain documentation for statutory and tax audits.Stay updated on changes in finance, pharma tax policies, and compliance laws.Support regulatory and internal audits related to manufacturing, R&D, or export activities.3. Budgeting & Financial Planning
Assist in preparing annual budgets and rolling forecasts.Monitor operational and R&D expenses, analyze budget variances, and recommend corrective actions.Provide insights to management for cost control and investment optimization .4. Invoicing, Receivables & Revenue Management
Generate invoices as per GST and pharma industry billing standards.Track receivables, ensure timely collections, and maintain accurate client ledgers.Coordinate with business and logistics teams to reconcile sales, credit notes, and inventory movements.5. Payroll & Statutory Compliance
Support payroll processing with accurate PF, ESI, TDS, and professional tax deductions.Maintain compliance documentation for all employee-related statutory requirements.6. Banking, Audit & Financial Control
Manage daily banking operations, fund transfers, and payments.Liaise with banks, auditors, tax consultants, and internal teams for financial control and audit closure.Support grant, R&D fund, or export-import transaction accounting where applicable.Role Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting.4–7 years of experience in accounting, finance, and taxation.Strong knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.Proficiency in accounting software like Tally, Zoho Books, or QuickBooks.Excellent analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and meet deadlines accurately.Prior experience in the Pharma, Biotech, Healthcare, or Manufacturing industries.Understanding of inventory costing, R&D expense tracking, and regulatory audit requirements.Strong coordination skills with auditors, tax advisors, and internal cross-functional teams.Updated knowledge of industry-specific financial and tax regulations.Work Schedule : Monday – Friday
