Role Summary
This is the backbone of Vahan's HR function. You will run end-to-end HR Operations for all programs from onboarding to exit, own SLAs, and turn data into decisions. You're analytical, adaptable, tech-forward, and comfortable using HR systems and AI to make processes faster, simpler, and more accurate.
What You'll Own
Onboarding & Day-1 Readiness
- Lead end-to-end pre-boarding and onboarding processes, ensuring new hires have a seamless Day 1 experience.
- Coordinate documentation, systems access, and assets, while setting up strong first impressions and cultural immersion.
HRIS, Data Quality & Employee Records
Own accuracy, integrity, and compliance of employee records in the HRIS.Maintain contracts, policy repositories, and SOPs, ensuring everything is up-to-date and easily accessible.Payroll & Benefits (First-Time-Right)
Manage monthly payroll cycles, ensuring timely and error-free execution in partnership with Finance.Administer employee benefits programs (insurance, wellness, leave policies) and act as the go-to for queries.HR Helpdesk & Employee Support
Serve as the first point of contact for HR queries, providing quick, clear, and empathetic resolutions.Maintain and continuously improve HR helpdesk processes.Compliance & Risk
Ensure compliance with statutory obligations (PF, ESI, PT, LWF, etc.), internal audits, and labor laws.Run PoSH programs, policy training, and ensure contractors / vendors meet compliance requirements.Offboarding & Knowledge Capture
Manage resignations, full & final settlements, asset recovery, and exit formalities.Consolidate exit feedback into themes and share insights with leadership.People Analytics & Decision Support
Build HR dashboards and reports for leadership, covering headcount, attrition, hiring funnels, and more.Surface insights and recommend operational / process improvements.HR Tech & AI-led Process Improvements
Leverage HR systems and automation tools to streamline recurring processes.Experiment with AI solutions to optimize employee query handling, document management, and data validation.What You'll Need to Succeed
3–6 years in HR Operations in a fast-paced / high-growth environment.Strong command of HRIS / ATS platforms.Advanced MS Excel / Google Sheets ; familiarity with PowerBI will be a plusComfort with ChatGPT and GenAI for SOPs, docs, chatbots, and curiosity to inject AI tools (read steroids) into HR OperationsCrisp written / spoken communication; empathy + service mindset; bias for actionDegree in HR / Business; Engineering or quantitative background preferredBenefits
