We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Storage Object Engineering Lead / Associate Director, Software Engineering

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will :

• Lead the Object Storage Engineering team responsible for building, automating, and evolving HSBC's enterprise-scale object and archive storage platforms.
• Set the technical direction and delivery roadmap, working closely with product owners and senior stakeholders in CTO and application teams.
• Oversee the design and implementation of automation pipelines (e.g. Ansible, CI / CD), observability frameworks, and production-grade engineering solutions.
• Drive innovation and evaluate emerging storage technologies to enhance platform performance, efficiency, and sustainability.
• Ensure engineering standards, documentation, and onboarding processes are in place and continuously improved.
• Manage capacity planning, compliance, risks, and financial control across global deployments.
• Guide and mentor team members, fostering a culture of learning, ownership, and cross-regional collaboration.
• Act as a senior representative of Object Storage within HSBC's Storage Platform, supporting platform strategy and transformation initiatives.
