We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst preferably with Financial knowledge to join our dynamic team at a leading IT service company. You will work closely with stakeholders, product managers, and development teams to ensure that business requirements are accurately captured and translated into technical specifications. As a Business Analyst, you will also be involved in various testing activities, including developing and running test scripts, logging defects, and working with the technical team to resolve issues. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that the solutions meet both technical and business requirements.

Job Role / Your future duties and responsibilities

• . Collaborate with stakeholders, including government agencies and internal teams, to gather, document, and analyze business requirements.
• . Facilitate meetings and workshops with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide project updates.
• . Translate business needs into detailed functional and non-functional requirements.
• . Conduct gap analysis and feasibility studies to ensure alignment with client needs and regulatory standards.
• . Create and maintain clear and detailed requirement specifications, user stories, and process flows.
• . Write and maintain functional design and documentation.
• . Develop and update project documentation, including business cases, use cases, and functional specifications.
• . Participate in transitioning the requirements and use cases to the designers and developers, ensuring the determination of various integrations, flows, and dependencies of features across the product.
• . Review functional design documents, user stories, and other functional artifacts to ensure alignment with business needs.
• . Develop new test scripts, modify existing scripts, run test scripts, and log defects.
• . Perform system testing.
• . Conduct testing of existing capabilities.
• . Work with the technical team in defect resolution.
• . Make necessary updates to the system and training documentation.
• . Confirm the transfer of knowledge as necessary throughout the project.
• . Resolve customer issues.
• . Build product knowledge.
• . Work with the delivery / development teams by driving towards the product roadmap.
• . Participate and contribute in Solution design reviews.
• . Act as the primary point of contact between the client and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and understanding of project goals.
• . Ensure that project deliverables comply with relevant federal, state, and local regulations.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

. Familiarity with Financial ERP software is a plus.

. Previous experience in a similar role within an IT service or consulting company.

. Proven experience in business analysis, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable technical specifications.

. Proficiency in developing and executing test scripts, and managing defect logging and resolution.

. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and development teams.

. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

. Experience with relevant business analysis and documentation tools.

Education – Preferred Commerce Graduate and MBA in Finance from a reputed institute.
