Roles and responsibilities : (PPC Engineer)
Production Planning and Scheduling :
- Develop and implement production schedules based on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and material availability.
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as necessary to meet delivery targets.
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure raw materials are available as per production requirements.
Process Optimization :
Analyze production processes and identify opportunities for improvement to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.Implement lean manufacturing techniques and other best practices to improve productivity.Resource Management :
Monitor and manage the allocation of resources, including manpower, machinery, and materials, to meet production goals.Ensure that production equipment is maintained and functioning properly to prevent downtime.Quality Assurance :
Work closely with the quality control team to ensure products meet quality standards.Collaborate with the production team to address any quality issues and implement corrective actions.Data Analysis and Reporting :
Collect, analyze, and report data related to production performance, efficiency, and resource utilization.Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports for management review.Coordination and Communication :
Coordinate with various departments (e.g., production, procurement, logistics) to ensure smooth operations and address any production issues.Communicate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.Inventory Management :
Monitor inventory levels and work with the warehouse and procurement teams to maintain optimal stock levels.Implement inventory control procedures to minimize excess inventory and reduce costs.Compliance and Safety :
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards within the production area.Promote a safe working environment by conducting regular safety audits and training sessions.Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.2-5 years of experience in production planning and control, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environmentSkills Required
