Lead Software Engineer

Overview

The Lead Software Engineer position is responsible for the implementation of software

application subsystems and services. This position will be required to lead small

development projects and guide them through to implementation. They are also

responsible for reviewing and analyzing business requirements, creating Functional

Specifications, and implementing software designs.

Analyzes, designs, documents, codes, and tests assigned tasks of medium sizeand complexity.Provides accurate estimates and reports of development progress.Designs, documents, and codes unit test programs for assigned tasksDevelops test programs and functional prototypes when required.Provides accurate estimates of assigned tasks and regularly reports onprogress to the immediate supervisor.Works with product management, quality assurance and system architects toensure the code developed meets system requirements and designParticipates in design and code reviews.Assists management with the technical evaluation of issues, includingalternatives, risk assessments, and recommendationsMay be called on to mentor, provide technical assistance and delegate tasks to more junior developers.

Qualifications

• 9+ years in Java, Spring Boot, Sprint Cloud (Mongo DB preferred)
• 7+ years in working in a multi-tier distributed architecture environment
• 7 years of experience using standard software development tools (.
• collaboration tools and IDE’s, as well as testing, revision control, and project
• management tools)
• 7+ years using REST APIs
• Experience working with SQL and Non-SQL databases
• Experience with debugging, performance profiling and optimization
• Experience with agile development methodologies (. Kanban, Scrum,
• Basic understanding of multi-threading and concurrency
