About the Client : PSS has been mandated to hire a IT Applications Integration Manager for one of the largest physical commodities trading groups in the world that carry out the sourcing, storing, transportation, and delivery of a range of raw materials to clients around the world.
Purpose
They require cross-technology systems owner—designing solutions, resolving production issues, directing technical teams, and bridging business requirements with multiple vendor and internal IT landscapes. The role requires flexibility, problem-solving across heterogeneous platforms, and the ability to map how numerous smaller applications and integrations fit into the overall enterprise architecture. It provides end-to-end oversight of diverse systems (Sun, Oracle, SQL Server, SSIS, ETL tools, OneStream integrations, custom .NET / Java applications) and ensures their smooth operation, upgrades, and integration into the wider trading IT ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
The position will involve, but is not limited to, the following areas of responsibility :
System Ownership & Support
- Own and oversee multiple BO applications (Oracel, OneStream, Intellimatch, Sun, AAV, Galaxy, PM10, etc.) ensuring their availability, performance, and issue resolution.
- Act as the escalation point for production support incidents across diverse systems.
- Ensure SLA adherence for incident management and problem resolution
Integration & Project Delivery
Lead design and oversight of cross-system projects (e.g. Sun - OneStream integration, SSIS migrations, SQL upgrades).Provide direction to technical teams on upgrades (Sun Server, SQL 2019, Windows 22), ensuring alignment with enterprise programs.Drive automation initiatives (e.g. AAV daily check automation) to optimize efficiency.Architecture & Application Mapping
Analyze, design, and map data flows across systems (Example : Sun >Oracle >
Intellimatch >
OneStream).
Provide expertise in transforming business requirements into technical specifications for integration projects.Ensure consistent alignment with enterprise architecture standards.Vendor & Team Coordination
Guide 3rd party IT Back Office triage team and act as the knowledge anchor for small but business-critical applications.Collaborate with business users, Allegro team, Oracle / Infrastructure teams, and external vendors to resolve systemic issues.Provide knowledge transfer (KT) and mentoring to team members to build redundancy.Governance & Continuous Improvement
Monitor risks, dependencies, and issues across BO projects; escalate appropriately.Document processes and application dependencies to reduce key-person risk.Special Assignments
Act as bridge role between DevOps functions and business-facing application support.Provide continuity and technical guidance during critical transitions (e.g. team replacements, relocations, system ownership handovers).Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Education & Professional Background
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.12+ years of progressive IT experience across systems analysis, design, support, and integration.Demonstrated track record of managing cross-platform environments (.NET, SQL Server, ETL, Oracle, Java).Technical Expertise
Strong knowledge of database technologies (SQL Server 2012–2019 migrations, Oracle DB).Experience with ETL and data transformation tools (SSIS, Informatica).Familiarity with application deployment pipelines (TeamCity, GitHub, Nexus).Proficiency in scripting, automation, and system monitoring.Exposure to middleware, reconciliation, and reporting systemsKey Relationships
