We are looking to hire an In-House Legal Counsel for Mumbai .
If you have an expertise in one or more of the legal functions such as Contract Drafting / Working on PPAs / EPC Contracts / Regulatory / Land Acquisition / Project Finance , then this is the role for you!
How you will contribute :
- Drafting, review, and negotiation of agreements (Term Sheets, PPA with captive / group captive / bilateral consumers.
- Drafting, review and negotiation of agreements related to Behind the Meter (BTM) / Rooftop solar solutions.
- Representations / Presentations / Regulatory Updates in various internal and external forums based on the knowledge of – Electricity Act - 2003, Electricity Rule - 2005, Grid Code, Tariff Orders (Distribution, Transmission, Generation), ARR, Open Access Regulations, Net Metering Regulation of the eastern states of India (Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Assam, North-eastern States)
- Representations / Presentations / Regulatory Updates in various internal and external forums based on the knowledge of – CERC Regulations, CEA regulations (both related to Renewable Energy, ISTS / General Network Access (GNA) Regulations
- Drafting, review and negotiation of agreements
- Managing title due diligence of land for establishing solar and wind power plants across India.
- Authentication of property title documents.
- Apprising the Senior Management regarding the progress of land acquisition and title clearance and suggesting future course of action.
- Act as a custodian of all legal and title documents and related documents.
- Good in excel for preparing milestones and cash flows
Ideal Skills for this role include :
Bachelor of Law with specialization in Power - preferably from reputed institute4+ years post-qualification, candidates who have experience in the renewable energy sector will be preferred.Detail oriented with ability to work collaboratively with team members nearby and remotely, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.Excellent inter - personal skillsShould be willing to travel nationally
