Description :
We are seeking an experienced SFDC Azure DevOps professional with a strong background in Salesforce and Omnistudio (Vlocity) deployment management. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in establishing, maintaining, and optimizing continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI / CD) processes using Azure DevOps. This role requires a proven ability to streamline release pipelines, enforce governance standards, and drive operational excellence across dynamic enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities :
CI / CD Pipeline Management :
- Design, implement, and maintain automated build, test, and deployment processes for Salesforce, Omnistudio (Vlocity), Apex, Lightning components, and integrations.
- Manage end-to-end release management, ensuring efficient movement of configurations and code across development, testing, and production environments.
- Define and enforce best practices for source control, branching strategies, and version management aligned with enterprise standards.
- Integrate Azure DevOps with Salesforce and other tools to enable smooth delivery workflows.
Monitoring & Troubleshooting :
Continuously monitor pipeline performance and identify process inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and potential risks in real time.Manage issues, escalate where needed, and ensure minimal disruption to release timelines.Conduct root cause analysis for deployment failures, integration issues, or environment conflicts, followed by corrective and preventive solutions.Security & Compliance :
Implement strong governance across CI / CD processes including :a. Access controls
b. Security checks
c. Credential management
d. Compliance documentation
e. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal audit standards.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Communication :
Collaborate closely with developers, testers, architects, and leadership teams to streamline release workflows.Provide regular deployment and project performance updates to senior stakeholders.Offer expert recommendations for continuous improvement initiatives.Operational Excellence & Optimization :
Define and track KPIs to measure the performance of DevOps workflows.Identify gaps in process efficiency and propose improvements in automation, monitoring, and operational maturity.Leverage analytics tools and data insights for proactive enhancement of CI / CD systems.Documentation & Knowledge Management :
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to :a. CI / CD pipelines
b. Deployment runbooks
c. DevOps operational guidelines
d. Release management procedures
Ensure documentation supports knowledge transfer and accelerates onboarding.Required Skills & Qualifications :
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related fields.8+ years of progressive experience in DevOps, including at least 2 years in a leadership or team lead position.Extensive hands-on experience with Salesforce and Omnistudio (Vlocity) deployments and environment management.Strong working knowledge of Azure DevOps, including :a. Pipelines
b. Boards
c. Repos
d. Artifacts
e. Azure service integrations
Proficiency in managing metadata and source control for Salesforce using Git-based repositories.Experience with tools such as Copado, Gearset, or equivalent release management platforms.Exposure to automated testing frameworks, covering unit, regression, and integration testing.In-depth understanding of security policies, compliance frameworks, and access controls within DevOps ecosystems.Strong organizational, communication, and leadership abilities with a track record of working with cross-functional teams.Excellent analytical mindset with attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills.Why This Role Matters :
