Mines Surveyor

1. Mine Surveying and Impact Assessment Develop, implement and monitor survey systems to ensure the mining department and contractors comply with standards and procedures Carry out initial surveys and risk assessments and environmental impact assessments on potential sites, including both underground and surface surveys Apply survey methods to ensure quality of mining operations, in compliance with approved designs, monthly and annual production plans Ensure maximum and complete mining of limestone within the designated area Use survey methods and instruments to monitor technical facilities and / or mine benches Analyze samples to determine the viability, production and profitability of the mine, and provide valuations of prospective mineral deposits Create monthly MIS reports for mining surveying progress for HOD Mines Prepare any required quantity reports, mine survey and geodesy reports and documents for the mine site Supervise the conduct of regular accurate surveys in accordance with DCBL�s survey code of practice so as to ensure that there is minimal disruption to production or development of the mine Ensure that all employees and contractors comply with DCBL�s safety and environmental standards and any legislative requirements Liaise with HOD Mines to provide input in preparing the mining Quality Control processes Perform survey reconciliation, volumetric calculation and other technical procedures to ensure correct mine sites are selected Take part in the creation of maps and plans for the mine Work with environmental professionals and engineers to restore the land and provide advice regarding waste material disposal Closely examine and predict the environmental effects and impacts of mining, including air pollution and the damage to the landscape Coordinate with HOD Mines to deal with ownership rights and negotiate on contracts to buy, lease or access sites Take initiatives to drive growth for DCBL and ensure sustained growth in line with long-term and short-term objectives of the organization Ensure initiation and sensitization of the employees towards digitization and automation of the processes Focus on utilization of advanced business analytics tools to derive key insights critical for the success of the organization 2. Self / Team Development Review and monitor performance of team members� and provide requisite developmental support / inputs Recommend training as required for team�s development Develop the team and update their knowledge base to cater the organization need Strategize avenues for enhancing employee satisfaction in the function, resulting in high engagement levels of employees
