Vedanta Mines Aluminium is instrumental in securing the Coal and Bauxite resources that fuel our alumina refineries, aluminium smelters, and power plants at Odisha and Chhattisgarh. In line with Vedanta Aluminium’s vision of 3MTPA capacity with 100% forward and backward integration, the Mines Business is ramping up coal production to 50 MT annually and developing newly secured bauxite blocks to meet over 18 MT of requirements - forming the backbone of our integrated growth across the aluminium value chain.

Project Head, Ghogharpalli Coal Mine (Aluminium) , a role central to the commencement and operationalization of new mining assets.

Roles and Responsibilites :

Lead and oversee all strategic and operational activities related to the Ghogharpalli coal mine project.

Develop and execute comprehensive pre-startup plans to ensure timely commencement of mining operations.

Formulate project budgets and implementation strategies aligned with business objectives.

Facilitate the onboarding and management of the Mine Developer and Operator (MDO) as a key business partner.

Securing all necessary statutory clearances, including among others, environment, land acquisition and rehabilitation & resettlement (R&R).

Champion SHES (Safety, Health, Environment, and Sustainability) initiatives to uphold the highest standards of operational integrity.

Candidate Profile :

B.Tech / B.E. in Mining Engineering with 15-20 years of relevant experience in Mining business.

Have demonstrated leadership in mining approvals, commencement and mining operations.

Strong understanding of statutory clearances and relevant Acts, regulations & Government guidelines.
