Role : Senior Manager - Content Lead
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Content Lead to create, manage and elevate Plaksha's storytelling across all platforms. The ideal candidate will be an exceptional writer and editor with a strong eye for quality, the ability to work across multiple teams, and the maturity to translate the brand's strategy into powerful pull-content. The candidate will lead a team of young content creators to coordinate with design and user teams and ensure that every piece of communication reflects Plaksha's voice and values.
Reporting to : Director - Marketing & Communications.
Key Responsibilities
Content Development & ManagementOversee the creation, review, and delivery of high-quality content across all channels - website, social media, emailers, newsletters, video scripts, brochures, campaigns, emailers and more.Translate the brand's pull-content strategy (defined jointly with the senior leadership) into clear, actionable plans and outputs.Plan and manage annual content / publishing calendar that supports institutional priorities and campaigns.Maintain consistency in tone, messaging, and visual alignment across all materials.Team ManagementLead, mentor, and inspire a lean team of 3 content writers (primarily freshers / early career professionals).Review and edit all written material, providing clear timely feedback and guidance.Build a culture of quality, creativity, and accountability within the team.Collaboration & CoordinationWork closely with design, digital marketing, admissions, advancement, and academic teams to conceptualize and deliver cohesive campaigns and projects.Be the bridge between creative and operational teams ensuring smooth execution and timely delivery.Translate complex ideas from user teams into accessible, compelling narratives for diverse audiences.Manage timelines and workflows across multiple projects and stakeholders.Quality & Brand StewardshipUphold the highest standards of editorial quality, clarity, and alignment with Plaksha's brand voice.Ensure all content reflects the institution's mission and purpose while engaging diverse audiences.Be proactive and solution-oriented when managing challenges or changing priorities.Take full ownership of content deliverables — ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and excellence.Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.7–10 years of professional experience in content creation, editing, or communications.Proven track record of managing diverse content formats such as long -form, short-form, print, digital, social, and multimedia.Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with attention to tone, clarity, and brand voice.Prior experience leading a small creative team or mentoring junior writers.Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration abilities.Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced, and cross-functional environment.Exposure to education, technology, or mission-driven sectors is an advantage.Additional Skills
