SAP HCM Lead

Job Summary :

SAP HCM Lead position at DMart will be the central point of contact for all HR technology solutions. This individual will be responsible for leading and managing all HR-related projects, enhancements, and ongoing support for SAP HCM, SuccessFactors (SF), and Enterprise Portal (ESS / MSS).

This role requires a candidate with strong domain knowledge in a wide range of HR processes, from hire-to-retire, contract workforce, biometrics applications, learning management systems, claims & expenses and other related fields, preferably from retail or FMCG sector. This individual should also be proficient in leading teams, managing vendors, and exploring new digital solutions within the SAP landscape to drive business process improvements for DMart.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead HR technology initiatives :

Serve as the primary contact for all SAP HCM, SuccessFactors, and Enterprise Portal projects, enhancements, and support. Lead a team of 5–10 members to design, configure, and implement solutions that align with business needs.

Drive process improvement :

Proactively identify and propose business process enhancements, leveraging expert knowledge of the hire-to-retire lifecycle, contract workforce management, and related applications (e.g., biometric, L&D, talent acquisition).

Manage project lifecycle and delivery :

Effectively oversee maintenance, support, and project delivery, ensuring completion within timelines and budget while meeting service-level agreements (SLAs). This includes planning implementations, mitigating risks, managing resources, and maintaining all proper documentation.

Ensure quality and testing :

Lead comprehensive testing efforts for all system changes, track and resolve issues in a timely manner, and manage knowledge transfer to the support team for seamless handovers.

Provide strategic HR solutions :

Conduct business process studies with functional teams, evaluate new technologies (like SAP CPI, BTP, and S / 4), and assess vendor solutions to drive continuous improvement within the HR domain.

Act as a subject matter expert and mentor :

Independently provide technical and functional guidance, mentor junior team members, and effectively manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

Required Experience & Skills :

Experience :

14+ years of HR Tech support experience, with solid background in SAP implementation and support.

Education :

Minimum Bachelor’s degree in related field, SAP certifications are preferred

SAP & HR technology expertise :

Skilled in configuration and implementation of SAP HCM, SuccessFactors, Enterprise Portal, and other HR-related applications (biometric, L&D)

HR business process knowledge :

Deep understanding of core HR processes, including talent acquisition, performance management, payroll, compliance, and management of both permanent and contract workforces.

Analytical and problem-solving abilities :

Proficient in business process analysis, performance analysis, and root cause analysis to effectively solve complex organizational issues.

Project and people management :

Experienced in leading teams, managing resources, and overseeing projects through the full lifecycle, from requirement gathering to testing and support.
