Role Description

Seeking an engineer capable of executing early-stage aircraft design using low-fidelity analytical methods and open-source tool chains. Role requires strong fundamentals in aerodynamics, structures, stability and control, propulsion, and performance, with the ability to convert theory into practical design outputs.

Work focuses on concept generation, configuration development, sizing analyses, and rapid parametric evaluations. Proficiency with open-source platforms such as OpenVSP, XFOIL, AVL, SU2, and related environments is required. Ability to build, adapt, and validate low-order models is essential.

CAD capability is mandatory. Engineer must produce accurate, parametric geometry suitable for iterative design and downstream evaluation.

Minimum 8-10 years of experience is required

Core responsibilities :

• Develop and execute low-fidelity aircraft design studies
• Build and maintain open-source analysis workflows
• Generate configuration geometry in CAD with clean parametric structure
• Perform trade studies and document analytical assumptions
• Deliver disciplined, independent technical reasoning
• Suitable for candidates with strong theoretical grounding, practical design discipline, and the ability to work with lean data environments.
