• Responsible for own safety and conducting one’s self to the standards of H&P Policies and Procedures
• Coordinate with the Rig Manager and HSE Specialist, initiatives, and concerns.
• Assume a leadership role through orientation, mentoring and the coaching of crew members regarding the H&P and Client HSE Policy and procedural requirements to the extent of personal
• Monitor the Short Service Employee (SSE) program to ensure implementation.
• Consult and advise Drilling Operations in matters relating to HSE.
• Liaise with Operator regarding HSE matters.
• Independently monitor and observe ongoing rig operations daily with a focus on conformance to the H&P policies and procedures.
• Mitigate exposures observed as required.
• Participates in and coordinates rig HSE meetings providing feedback and learning outcomes.
• Initiates and participates in Incident Investigations and ensures reporting is accurate and delivered in a timely manner. This should include the follow-up of all High SIF Potential events.
• Ensure rig complies with H&P requirements on all internal safety inspections in Esafe.
• Perform rig HSE audits and inspections and report and record them as per record retention policy.
• Ensure the implementation of R&R program.
• Ensure HSE Critical Equipment at the installation is properly maintained as directed by the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM).
• Maintains Emergency drills (Trip, BOP, H2S, Fire, Man down, and muster drill) as required.

Monitor compliance against the monthly HSE schedule.
