Job Title : Oracle VBCS Middleware Developer / Lead

Function : Middleware & Cloud Integration

Experience : 6 - 10 Years

Location : Pan India

Role Summary :

The Oracle VBCS Middleware Developer / Lead is a senior technical role responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust middleware solutions and user interfaces utilizing Oracle Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS) and associated Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) components.

This position requires deep expertise in building cloud-native applications, ensuring seamless, secure connectivity and cloud application integrations between diverse systems (both cloud and on-premise).

The candidate will drive the full development lifecycle, from technical design to deployment, focusing on high performance and scalability.

Key Responsibilities (Inferred and Elaborated) :

VBCS and Application Development :

  • Design and develop responsive, modern user interfaces and applications using Oracle Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS), ensuring a user-centric design approach.
  • Build and manage internal service components, business objects, and data binding configurations within VBCS to support application functionality.
  • Implement custom JavaScript logic, Oracle JET (JavaScript Extension Toolkit) components, and advanced UI customizations within the VBCS framework.

Middleware & Integration Design :

  • Design and implement complex integration solutions utilizing Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and VBCS, ensuring seamless and secure connectivity between applications.
  • Consume and expose services within VBCS by leveraging REST APIs, SOAP web services, and other endpoints defined by the integration layer.
  • Collaborate with backend and functional teams to define data models, security policies, and performance requirements for integration services.
  • Implement and test complex security mechanisms within the VBCS / OIC stack, including OAuth, JWT, and certificate-based authentication.

    • Technical Leadership & Operations (for Lead role) :

  • Drive technical design discussions, define best practices, and perform code reviews for VBCS / OIC development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural standards.
  • Provide expert-level troubleshooting and problem-solving for complex integration failures and VBCS deployment issues.
  • Ensure all applications and integrations are built with high availability, scalability, and performance optimization in mind.

    • Mandatory Skills (Inferred and Elaborated) :

  • Oracle VBCS Expertise : Strong, hands-on development and implementation experience with Oracle Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS).
  • Web Technologies : Expert proficiency in front-end technologies : HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and responsive design principles.
  • Integration Principles : Solid understanding of cloud application integrations and experience consuming external services via REST and / or SOAP protocols.
  • Framework Knowledge : Working knowledge of the underlying Oracle JET (JavaScript Extension Toolkit) framework used by VBCS.
  • Data Management : Ability to define and manage business objects, variables, and data security in VBCS.
  • Testing & Deployment : Experience with application deployment, version control, and unit testing within the VBCS environment.

    • Good To Have (Preferred Skills) :

  • APIs & Web Services : Direct, hands-on experience in building and consuming robust REST APIs and SOAP web services (WSDL).
  • Cloud Workflows : Experience with complex integration flows, orchestrations, and cloud workflows built within Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
  • Oracle SaaS Integration : Familiarity with the integration mechanisms and data models of Oracle SaaS applications (e.g., ERP Cloud, HCM Cloud, SCM Cloud).
  • Certification : Relevant Oracle Cloud certification (e.g., Oracle Visual Builder Cloud Service Certified Associate).
  • Database : Experience with basic SQL querying for data verification and service data management.
