We are seeking Lighting Artist to join our growing games team. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with Leads, and other departments to create visually compelling and optimized lighting for in-game environments and cinematics. You will contribute both artistically and technically to achieve the highest-quality lighting results while maintaining consistency and performance across various projects.
Key Responsibilities :
- Create high-quality, consistent lighting for in-game environments, characters, and cinematics in collaboration with the art and design teams.
- Work under the direction of the Lighting Lead and Supervisor to implement artistic and technical lighting solutions.
- Ensure lighting aligns with the project's artistic vision, mood, and gameplay requirements.
- Address feedback and notes from Leads and Supervisors, ensuring timely revisions and delivery.
- Optimize lighting setups for performance without compromising visual quality.
- Contribute to look development, shading, and color grading as required.
- Maintain shot and scene continuity while ensuring artistic consistency across assets and levels.
- Collaborate with other departments (Environment, FX, and Technical Art) to ensure seamless integration of lighting in the overall pipeline
- 3+ years of experience as a Lighting Artist(Unreal) in the games or VFX industry.
- Strong artistic understanding of lighting, color theory, and composition.
- Solid technical understanding of lighting and shading workflows within Unreal Engine, with experience in Unity considered a plus. Familiarity with real-time rendering, optimization, and performance profiling.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and adaptability in a fast-paced production environment.
- Experience using Unreal Engine lighting tools (Lumen, Lightmass, etc.)
